The Nike Free iD combines the feel of barefoot running with cushioning, traction and underfoot protection. Customize your shoe's flexibility by adding more cushioning or choosing the lightest, most barefoot-like upper and midsole, and then choose the colors of the Swoosh, laces, sole and more.
Choose Your Flex
For more cushioning, choose the Nike+ ready Free 5.0 midsole. For the most barefoot-like feel, select the Free 3.0 midsole: the lightest and most flexible of the Nike Free family.
Choose Your Fit
For a snug fit and more support, choose the Nike Free 5.0 upper. It features Dynamic Flywire cables designed to move naturally with the body, tightening during changes of direction to enhance support when you need it.
For a lighter feel and enhanced breathability, customize your shoe with the more minimal Nike Free 3.0 upper. Its engineered mesh offers targeted support while helping keep feet cool.

I have bought them more than a year ago, since they first appeared in Europe. I am am active runner. But also stay few days a week at The gym. Shoes are so confortable, that You barely feel them On your feet. The closest feeling to barefoot running. On the running indoor mill or short distances they are as perfect as You can get. On The longer runs, especialy in The paved paths not too cushioning after 10K. For marathons i use Air Max 360'

I love my shoe and the color choices. However, on the very day I got my shoes, the color on the toe scuffed off. I wasn't evern running; I was standing on the sidelines coaching at our volleyball tournament. The shoe itself is very comfortable, and I love running in it, I just expected a nike product to hold up better. I'm disappointed.

This is my second pair of Nike 5.0 and I love them. My only disappointment this time is that I chose the Atomic Pink color and it's really a Peach color. I am glad that Nike will allow me to return them. I hope this helps.

The color and size of my NikeiDs were correct, but the feature I was really looking forward to, seeing my first/last name written on the tongues of the shoes, was not there. I specifically made sure that when I ordered my shoes, it would say my first name on the left shoe tongue, and my last name on the right shoe tongue. When the shoes arrived 2 weeks early, I was thrilled, but disappointed to see the word "NIKE," written where my name should've gone. Overall it's a good shoe, runs a little narrow (even in the "wide" size), but the meshing material is flexible and I'm not too worried about it.
