Great protection but not super warm

This is a great jacket. It is in a kind of soft fabric which is comfortable but still keeps the rain out. It is also rather warm and warm enough for running but i tried wearing it when walking in the rain as well and then you d probably have to layer it up a bit since the jacket is still rather thin. But it does have insulation. I bought it in size m since i wanted to be able to layer it quite a lot and im usually a size s. It worked fine because the jacket is soft and all and its not too long anywhere or too big but the sleeves definetely have room for layering i d say the size runs pretty normal.

Just Right

I wanted a jacket that would fit & function similarly to my Storm Fit windbreaker (minimize exposure to rain) and this does just that with the added bonus of keeping my toasty. I've been able to use it for runs in the 25-40 degree range with a base layer underneath. Considering how light & breathable it is, the amount of warmth was a pleasant surprise. So much so, I was tempted to unzip it a couple times. I wouldn't expect it to feel like a parka over just a sports bra or tank top though. Don't set yourself up for that. Some kind of base layer is ideal. Play with the thickness depending on the temps. The jacket length is perfect. I chose a small & the fit is snug yet comfy. Not a bodysuit, not my college sweatshirt. Just right. In the moderate wind & rain I am completely protected from the elements thus far. I doubt I'd be out in a monsoon or the rapture to test the limits any further though. That back pocket, the neck guard inside the hood and the hand warmers built into the sleeves are lovely touches. My one qualm is the ear phone cord socket in the inside right of the jacket the feeds to the pocket. You actually have to slip it through two different shape openings. I had to cut a slit in the round one to allow my cord thread through to the one in the right pocket. If you have earphones with an oddly shaped and angled jack/pin, you may need to do the same. I recommend Nike just change the opening on the inside of the jacket to the same as the opening in the actual pocket. All in all, this jacket gives me all I needed and then some. Great investment.
