A built-in 3 axis accelerometer measures your motion all day long.
An ambient light sensor detects environmental light levels. The brighter your environment, the brighter your display.

shows time, NikeFuel earned, calories burned, and steps taken. You can cycle through all this with the push of a button.

Water Resistance
The Nike+ FuelBand is water resistant. It is safe to wear in the shower or when dancing in the rain. Since it's not waterproof, it's not recommended for use while swimming.

Bluetooth pairing to mobile phones for use with the Nike+ FuelBand app for iOS 5. Check back soon for compatibility with other handsets.

I'm a nerd for all things Nike+ so of course I'm biased. I took this on a run with my heart monitor watch. My heart monitor said I burned 750 calories in 1.5 hours. The Fuel band gave me approx 800 - 850 calories burned. Precise? No, but close enough.
My motivation for buying it was to make me go to the gym, make me run, make me move. Are there cheaper ways of doing this? Sure, but for some reason the fuel band being on my wrist is a constant reminder of what I've done and what I need to do.
PROS:
Love that it functions as a watch
Easy to read display in direct sunlight
3 options for sizing in the box. No extender, Small extender, large extender.
Oval design so it fits snugly on your wrist as opposed to a circle shape.
CONS:
Out of the box it has a horrible chemical plastic smell. It goes away by day 2.
Does not come fully charged

Why no android app?

Frankly, I buy it for reminding me to keep fit everyday. It is fun, and I will surely recommend it to my friends. But one thing I am not satisfied. Why no android app? Now I am using the iPhone App on my IPad because I have a android phone.
Hope the android app is coming on the way!
